Following the Council of Churches: 60 MPs ask Zelensky not to allocate money for a film about gays - фото 1
"Servant of the People "Alexander Kachura lodged with President Volodymyr Zelensky a parliamentary appeal to ban funding for the film "My Young Prince". The appeal was signed by 60 MPs. The film about the love between two young men is directed by Khachaturian Vasilyan.

This is reported by Realist.

The MP notes that Derzhkino allocated UAH 20 million from the total budget of almost 25 million for filming. Thus, the movie about gays is almost sponsored by the state.

The plot of "My Young Prince" caused outrage in society. In particular, through Christian symbols and biblical allegories on posters.

"Just think about it, in the film they want to show us the sacred crucifixion of Jesus Christ in an erotic kiss for Christians, and this is in a country where the majority of the population is Christian!", Kachura is indignant.

MPs demand to cancel the decision on financing. Filming is scheduled to begin in May 2022, with the premiere scheduled for July.

Recall that the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations demands cancellation of state funding (at the expense of taxpayers) for a film project that promotes same-sex relationships and at the same time abuses religious symbols.
