Head of President's party: it's up to SBU to assess Filaret's interview for Russian media
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the court should respond to the interview that Patriarch Emeritus Filaret of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine gave to Russian propagandists in Kyiv.
Chairman of the "Servant of People" Party Dmytro Razumkov was reported by UNIAN as saying it at a briefing, commenting on an interview that Patriarch Emeritus Filaret of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine gave in Kyiv to Russian journalists from the state-run Russian TV channel.
Razumkov noted that the Security Service should assess the presence of Russian propagandists in Ukraine.
"It would be right if it is not the politicians who comment on it, but the relevant authorities and the court who will make decisions. It does not matter for me if it is a journalist from Russia, or from another state - if he works against the interests of Ukraine, the SBU, law enforcement and the court must react within the law and absolutely competently," Razumkov said.
He added that it was his personal position that a number of TV channels are not mass media, being one of the kinds of arms in hybrid war.
As it was reported, in an interview to the propagandist TV channel, Patriarch Filaret said that the head of the OCU and former President Poroshenko betrayed him and reminded that he, supposedly, was to manage the Church in Ukraine, while Metropolitan Epifaniy was to do so abroad.
