Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar visited Uman, where he prayed for world peace at the grave of Rabbi Nachman.

Representatives of the International Charitable Foundation named after Rabbi Nachman provided Gideon Saar with a tour. During this tour, they shared information about the history of this holy site, the rules for visitors, the annual number of pilgrims, and the organization of the complex's operations. This was reported by Jewishnews.

Gideon Sa'ar demonstrated significant interest during his visit, asking many questions about both the spiritual and administrative aspects of the organization.

The Foundation expressed its gratitude for his visit, noting that the attention from high-ranking officials signals trust and support for their work.

On July 23, 2025, Gideon Sa'ar and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha participated in a memorial ceremony at Babyn Yar in Kyiv, where tens of thousands of Jews were executed by the Nazis during the Holocaust.

Rabbi Raphael Rutman, vice president of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Ukraine (FJCU), recited the traditional prayer “El Malei Rachamim” in memory of the tragedy's victims.

The event was also attended by Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine Michael Brodsky and Ukrainian Ambassador to Israel Yevgen Korniychuk, who joined in lighting candles to honor the Holocaust victims at Babyn Yar.

Additionally, the participants in the ceremony paid tribute to the memories of the fallen defenders of Ukraine.
