In Kharkiv, a city that is constantly under attack from Russian aggression, the Lutheran church community has suffered another loss.

Pastor Viktor Khaustov reported damage to church property in the rented premises of the Writers' House.

The shelling damaged relics of particular value to the community: the Holy Bible (the second damage since March 2022), the crucifix, sculptures of the Savior and angels, and artwork, including beaded paintings.

"Although it pains me to see the damage done to our shrines,” said Pastor Khaustov, "the most important thing is that people remained unharmed. These near-frontline issues of civilians are not problems at all compared to human lives."

Despite the material losses, the church community is determined to continue its spiritual mission, demonstrating resilience and faith in times of war trials.

The community is currently assessing the damage and planning to restore the damaged items.
