Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra closed for quarantine: 90 cases of COVID-19
In the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, 63 new COVID19 coronavirus patients were found among the clergy. As of April 13, there are more than 90 cases of coronavirus infection in Lavra. It was decided to close the Lavra for quarantine.
The closure of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra for quarantine was announced by the mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klychko, during a briefing, according to the website of Channel 24.
According to the decision of the Commission on emergencies, the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra is closed for quarantine – - said Vitaliy Klychko.
He also called on law enforcement agencies to monitor compliance with this decision.
It is difficult to imagine how extensive the chain of transmission of infection can be," Klychko stated.
According to Klychko, he fears an outbreak of coronavirus after the Easter holidays. The mayor of Kyiv also noted that he met several times with representatives of various faiths to discuss the restrictions during the quarantine.
