Let us join in the prayer for peace in the whole world and Ukraine today, - the Christmas appeal of the Head of the UGCC
The head of the UGCC invited today "our whole universal family to join in prayer for peace for the whole world and in particular for our country, for the search for unity and understanding, for justice and impartiality of our courts, for the rule of law in the Ukrainian state, for warning against the temptation of selective justice and politically motivated court decisions, for the observance of fundamental values and principles of democracy, for harmony and humble wisdom among those whom the Lord has entrusted to lead our people through the times of terrible trials, for joint responsibility for each other and for our native land."
"May the Divine Infant, who on that memorable night in Bethlehem united both wise men and poor shepherds around the nursery, and later the whole of humanity, give us today the strength and wisdom not to become hostages of our divisions and misunderstandings, but to continue to work together courageously to create a just society based on respect for the dignity of each person, with heartfelt devotion to human solidarity and concern for the common good," the congratulatory message of the Heads of the UGCC reads.
