'May the Lord grant us a just peace': President of the Roman Catholic Bishops' Conference of Ukraine

25.12.2025, 14:10

Bishop Vitaliy Skomarovsky, Chairman of the Roman Catholic Bishops' Conference of Ukraine, congratulated Ukrainians on Christmas.

The text was published on the official website of the Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine.

"The holidays celebrating the Nativity of the Lord are upon us. I wish you, dear brothers and sisters, abundant blessings from God. May the Lord bless each of you, your families, and our homeland. May He grant us our deepest desire — the gift of peace, a true and just peace.

May this peace also reign in our hearts and within our families. May the Lord surround each of us with His warmth, so that we do not lose hope and have the strength to continue living and striving. May the Lord shine His light upon us all, the light He brought into this world to be God with us."
