MP Tymchuk: Putin ordered to deploy the disguised GRU task force in the most important UOC monasteries
Vladimir Putin ordered the leadership of the Russian law enforcement forces to “guarantee the security of the Metropolitans of the Moscow Patriarchate” whatever the circumstances. To do this, they plan to deploy the disguised GRU (the main military foreign-intelligence service of the Russian Federation) task force in the most important monasteries of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate).
Dmytro Timchuk, a member of the Narodnyy Front party and coordinator of the Information Resistance (IR), wrote on his Facebook page that the decision was made at a meeting of the Security Council of the RF on October 12, Gazeta.ua reported. There they discussed the decision of the Patriarchate of Constantinople to provide autocephaly of the UOC.
“Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Mr Shoigu and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia Mr Gerasimov noted that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are already working out plans for the direct insertion of disguised mobile task force into the territory of Ukraine to protect the Kyiv Pechersk and Svyatohirsk Lavras,” he wrote.
According to the information provided by the IR, the Russian Federation considers these religious centres the first to be threatened by attacks by “radical and armed militant nationalists”.
The MP also wrote that the Russian military leadership reported that -- as part of preparations for the implementation of these plans -- special forces are already being trained in the New Athos Monastery in Abkhazia.
“True, the General Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces has already developed an operation to destabilize the situation in Ukraine using the religious factor,” said Tymchuk.
