New vicar of Volyn Diocese ordained in UOC-MP

On March 28, Metropolitan Onufriy consecrated Archimandrite Afanasiy (Herman) as Bishop of Kamen-Kashirsk, vicar of the Diocese of Volyn of the UOC-MP. This is reported by "Orthodox Volyn".

After the end of the Liturgy, Metropolitan Onufriy said to Bishop Afanasiy a word on the presentation of the crosier.

The ordination of Archimandrite Afanasiy (Herman) as Bishop of Kamen-Kashirsk, vicar of the Diocese of Volyn, was made in compliance with the decision of the Holy Synod of the UOC on March 18, 2020. The naming ceremony took place on March 20, 2020, in the Holy Trinity Church of the Panteleimon Monastery in Kyiv ("Feofania").
