OCU Primate: May the Lord bring our victory closer - фото 1
For us, the resurrection of Christ is not an event that happened long ago, nor is it merely a symbolic story about the triumph of Good over Evil. Our faith in the Risen Christ and living according to this belief is the cornerstone of our faith. Thanks to the resurrection of the Savior, death is conquered, evil no longer holds absolute power over humanity, and hell has been defeated.

This is stated in the Easter message of the Primate of the OCU, Epifaniy.

“Today, as we celebrate the Resurrection of Christ, we renew our hope in the victory of Truth and Good. We receive from God the strength to continue our fight against darkness and sin, both within ourselves and in the world around us. By sharing the joy of Easter and glorifying the Risen Christ, we testify to our personal faith in Him. This faith fills us with light and helps us spread it, driving away the darkness of evil. Therefore, let us extend our congratulations to our neighbors and everyone on the Holy Resurrection of Christ!” the hierarch stated.

The Primate of the OCU also congratulated our defenders, volunteers, allies, and those celebrating this Easter under Russian occupation.

“May our heartfelt greetings from the Golden-Domed Kyiv, from St. Sophia Cathedral, and from the Ukrainian Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra reach all the children of Ukraine, wherever they may be. Despite the challenges of our time, may our love for God and our homeland, Ukraine, unite us all!

We extend our congratulations to the President of Ukraine, the state authorities, local governments, and everyone dedicated to serving society on the occasion of the Resurrection of Christ. May God bless all your good deeds and guide you toward the victory of truth and just peace.

As we share the joy of this holiday with all those who honor the Holy Resurrection of Christ, let us be strengthened in our faith, uplifted by our hope in God, and inspired to demonstrate our faith through acts of mercy and sacrificial love!

We shall continue to proclaim the great news of God's victory:

Christ is Risen!”
