On March 29, 2019, the All-Ukrainian Council announces the Day of Common Fast and Prayer for the future of Ukraine and for the responsible election of the President. The All-Ukrainian Council calls on all the Churches and active Christians to join the three-day prayer.
“March 29 is to be spent in fasting and joint prayer for the future of Ukraine as a powerful, independent, democratic and Christian state.
March 30 - Spiritually stay in prayer with the heads of churches and religious organizations of Ukraine.
March 31 - We ask all churches in Ukraine to pray for the blessings of the presidential elections in Ukraine, God’s protection, wisdom for the people, peace and unity of our country.
Today we see that Ukrainian society is constantly exposed to the pressure and attacks of various destructive and anti-Christian forces who want to ruin the foundations of statehood, the spiritual and moral principles of our people. That is why it is now important for Christians to be united in fasting and prayer for the blessing of the Lord for the election of the President, which will ensure protection of the country from external aggression, internal destabilization, and make it all dependent on Ukraine’s development on the foundation of eternal Gospel values ,” says the address of the All-Ukrainian Council.
RISU note: Initiators of the establishment of the All-Ukrainian Council were Evangelical churches, well-known religious and public figures.
