Our Ukraine Wishes Patriarch Kirill to Not Promote Political Goals of Russia

Our Ukraine party wishes Patriarch Kirill both during his visit to Ukraine and after to fulfill the mission entrusted to him by God and not to act as a tool of the Russian authorities to promote their own, solely secular, imperial goals, says the statement of the press service of Our Ukraine. 

Our Ukraine is convinced that Patriarch Kirill has recently diligently played the role of the church VIP agitator of the Russian World concept and conducted actually political visits under the pretext of pastoral ones.

“Prior to his other visit to Ukraine, the head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill, continued the public promotion of the Concept of the Russian World in the Ukrainian land… In particular, he even allows himself to extensively interpret the provisions of the official Russian Concept of foreign policy where the Russian World is defined as many million strong Russian diaspora which is a partner of the Kremlin in the work of ‘strengthening the space of the Russian language and culture,’” reads the statement of the party.

Our Ukraine also criticized the renaming of the Mazepa Street.

The party reminds Patriarch Kirill that Ukraine is a sovereign state with its own history, culture, and “way of life.”
