Archbishop Visvaldas Kulbokas visited the Cathedral of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker of the UGCC in Kharkiv on December 25. Wishing to experience Christmas in Eastern Ukraine, in a city affected by the war, the Archbishop visited Kharkiv for the first time.

This was reported by the Information Department of the UGCC.

At the UGCC cathedral, the Papal Nuncio attended the liturgy, interacted with the youth, and became acquainted with the parish's social service. Bishop Vasyl Tuchapets showed him the church premises serving as humanitarian warehouses during the war and explained about the distribution of humanitarian aid that takes place weekly in the cathedral's courtyard. He also introduced the honorary guest to the work of the Point of Unbreakability.

Additionally, in the Roman Catholic Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin, the Papal Nuncio led the Christmas Mass, concelebrated by Bishop Paul Honcharuk, the ordinary of the RCC Diocese of Kharkiv and Zaporizhia, and Bishop Vasyl Tuchapets, the UGCC exarch of Kharkiv.

Archbishop Kulbokas also met with the mayor of Kharkiv, Igor Terekhov, and visited districts of Kharkiv affected by Russian shelling.
