Parishioners of Embassy of God in Trouble Again
According to a decision of the court, banks are beginning to evict debtors, who are former parishioners of the Embassy of God, from their residences. These people raised credits for the Embassy of God, credits they could not really afford, and mortgaged their apartments for that. Some of such debtors managed to obtain in court cancellation of the decision about the eviction.
As RISU reported earlier, proceedings were initiated in two cases associated with the Embassy of God. In one of the cases (case of "King's Capital" and a private company "Grant") the senior pastor of the church, Sunday Adelaja, is the main defendant. In July, he was accused of fraud (Article 190) and creating a criminal group (Article 255). The pastor's property was sequestrated. His wife, Bose Adelaja, is a witness in the cases.
