The head of the UOC-Kyiv Patriarchate, Patriarch Filaret, is ready to meet with Patriarch Kirill, the head of the Russian Orthodox Church, but will not abandon the idea of autocephaly of the Ukrainian Church. He stated this on the TV channel "1 +1", according to UNIAN-religion.

"If he (Patriarch Kirill) offered to meet, I would, of course, agree, but I would not abandon my position - autocephaly of the Ukrainian Church,” said Patriarch Filaret.
He added that the proposals to meet have not been received so far.
