Patriarch Filaret to mothers of the fallen Ukrainian soldiers: Thank you for bringing up such sons
On February 28, Patriarch Filaret received at his residence of the widows and relatives of the fallen Ukrainian soldiers - servicemen of the 128th Transcarpathian brigade. This is reported by the official site of the UOC-KP.
The meeting also attended bishop of Uzhhorod and Transcarpathia Varsonofiy, deputy chairman of the Synodal Department of Social Service, chaplain Serhiy Dmitriev and commander of the 128th separate brigade, Colonel Serhiy Sobko.
The head of the Kyivan Patriarchate posthumously awarded with medals "For patronage and love for Ukraine" the soldiers who gave their lives for the Motherland. In giving distinctions to widows and relatives of the fallen heroes, the Patriarch said: "Thank you for bringing up such sons, men who, despite their love for you, have given their lives for Ukraine. Thanks to them, we have freedom, and for their love let the Lord brings them where the love is - the Heavenly Kingdom"
