Poroshenko extends condolences to Egyptian President in connection with the terrorist attack in a mosque

Petro Poroshenko has extended his condolences to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi in connection with the terrorist attack in the north of the country, the press service of the President reports.

“It is with a deep sorrow the we in Ukraine have learned the news of a terrible terrorist act. On behalf of the people of Ukraine and from me personally, I am expressing condolences to the relatives of the dead and wish quick recovery to the victims,” ​​Poroshenko said in a statement to his Egyptian counterpart.

Ukrainian Head of State expressed support to the friendly Egyptian nation during the mournful hours.

As it was previously reported, on November 24, a terrorist attack took place in a mosque in the north of the Sinai Peninsula (Egypt).

According to preliminary data, terrorists had initially arranged an explosion in a mosque, and then opened fire on people who tried to leave the building, and blocked the area near the mosque by SUVs.

According to the latest data, 305 people were the victims of the attack.
