There is an intention to initiate criminal proceedings against the fifth President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, "for inciting inter-religious discord by obtaining a Tomos and creating the Orthodox Church of Ukraine".

Poroshenko announced this information on June 18, before the session of the Pechersk Court where restraining measures are being elected for him.

“This week I got yet another news. It turns out they brought another case against me. Allow me to quote it:

"For inciting inter-religious strife through obtaining the Tomos and creating the Orthodox Church of Ukraine," said the fifth President of Ukraine.

According to Poroshenko, all these charges are composed in the Kremlin, and law enforcement agencies are only voicing them.

"These entities under the State Investigation Bureau are chaired by the lawyers of Yanukovych, who were appointed by the "green" (related to Zelenskyy) authorities," he said.

Petro Poroshenko stressed that the current trial is the revenge of the current government.

"Who do these minions serve? Do they serve Ukraine? Do they serve the Ukrainians? What kind of a court session is it?

For the first time in 28 years of independence of Ukraine, the President goes to court, where the prosecutors will demand arrest with a one hundred percent certainty. Dear friends, this is a small act of revenge on the part of insignificant people full of complexes," Poroshenko said.
