Putin: Russian soldiers are acting on direct orders from God - фото 1
During the Christmas celebrations, the Russian president highlighted the sacred nature of military service, asserting that Russian soldiers follow the direct orders of God.

This was reported by the Telegram channel 7х70.

Reflecting on Christmas, Putin drew a parallel between the mission of the Savior and the role of soldiers, who have historically been seen as defenders fulfilling a sacred duty in the country. Meeting with participants in a special military operation on Christmas has become a traditional practice for the Russian dictator, who has celebrated this holiday with the military for the third consecutive year.

Recently, the concept of messianism has been increasingly prominent in Russian political discourse — specifically, the idea of Russia as the "savior" of the world from a perceived "evil." Therefore, the entire Russian Federation, in the current conflict — which the president describes as an eschatological battle — believes it is fulfilling a "higher" purpose.
