In addition to the ban on St. Nicholas, the Russian occupiers in the temporarily occupied territories have imposed a complete taboo on carols and nativity scenes.

This was reported by the National Resistance Center (NRC), according to Ukrinform.

“In pre-schools and educational institutions of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, the administration received instructions to ban the very mention of St. Nicholas. Only Father Frost and Snow Maiden should be present at all events. In addition, a complete taboo on carols and nativity scenes has been introduced,” the statement reads.

The NRC noted that the day before, the occupiers held “preventive conversations” with children to discredit Santa Claus and all fairy-tale heroes of Western cultures.

The National Resistance Center called for identifying collaborators and providing information about them at the following link.

“With your help, the Resistance Movement will punish those ruthlessly destroying Ukrainian traditions,” the NRC emphasized.
