Synod of UOC-MP Addresses State Leadership on Pochayiv Monastery Conflict

KYIV — The questions considered by the Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP) on February 26, 2010, include the conflict over the Pochayiv Monastery. The hierarchs expressed concern about the address of the Ternopil Regional Council to Ukraine’s Prime Minister Tymoshenko requesting to return the Pochayiv Monastery to the Kremenets-Pochayiv State Historic and Architectural Reserve from the ownership of UOC-MP, reports the press service of UOC-MP.
Therefore, the synod sent letters in this regard to Ukraine’s President Yanukovych and Prime Minister Tymoshenko.
