The Crown Prince of Norway received a tour of St. Sophia Cathedral
As reported by Ukrinform, this is stated on the reserve's Facebook page.
"Yesterday, the National Conservation Area "St. Sophia of Kyiv" welcomed a distinguished guest, Crown Prince Haakon of Norway. An excursion of St. Sophia Cathedral, an 11th-century architectural monument, was organized for him. The tour was led by Natalia Tymoshenko, the acting head of the international cooperation sector of the reserve," the message reads.
During the visit, the Crown Prince explored the unique frescoes and mosaics and learned about the relics that highlight the beginnings of Ukrainian statehood, culture, and identity.
At the conclusion of his visit, the Crown Prince was presented with a gift: a facsimile edition of the Constitution of Pylyp Orlyk, which serves as significant historical evidence of Ukraine's democratic traditions.
