After the war the number of people who claimed affiliation with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) has gradually and constantly decreased.

After the war the number of people who claimed affiliation with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) has gradually and constantly decreased.

Over three years of Russian aggression against Ukraine the number of faithful of the UOC (MP) has decreased. This was reported Channel 5, according to Oleksiy Antypovych, Director of the sociological service “Rating”.

“According to our studies after the beginning of war, the number of people who claimed affiliation to or being members of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate has gradually and constantly decreased. We cannot say that during three years the number of churches, the number of communities and the number of priests of the UOC (MP) have reduced. But the number of people who identify themselves as believers of the Moscow Patriarchate has decreased, “ he said.
