The ROC called "SMO" a Holy War for the right to live on one's "own land"

This is stated in the Decree of the XXV World Russian People's Council, "The Present and Future of the Russian World," adopted during the congress, which took place on March 27, 2024, in the Hall of Church Councils of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow under the chairmanship of the head of the WRPC, Patriarch of Moscow Kirill.

The participants of the congress believe that during the SMO, the Russian people, with weapons in hand, defend their lives, freedom, statehood, civilization, religious, national, and cultural identity, as well as the right to live on their own land within the borders of a unified Russian state.

"From a spiritual-moral point of view, the special military operation is a Holy War, in which Russia and its people, defending the unified spiritual space of Holy Rus, perform the mission of the 'Withholder,' defending the world from the onslaught of globalism and the victory of the fallen West in Satanism," the document says.

The ROC plans that after the completion of the SMO, the entire territory of modern Ukraine should enter the zone of exclusive influence of Russia.

"The possibility of the existence on this territory of a Russophobic, hostile to Russia and its people political regime, as well as a political regime controlled from an external center hostile to Russia, must be completely excluded," they declare in Moscow.
