“Today, the Sts. Olha and Elizabeth Church on Kropyvnytskoho Square was also damaged. Five double-glazed windows were broken. Of course, compared to other destructions in the city, the damage seems minor,” wrote the rector of the UGCC church, Fr Ivan Halimurka, in a social network.
He also noted: “This is an attempt on the house of God, which has not yet been fully restored from the satanic Soviet occupation outrage. The nature of the occupier never changes - it is outright rabid Satanism.”

Today, the Russians attacked the city with missiles of various types and Shahed drones, killing 7 people, including a UCU student with her mother and sisters, and seriously wounding a well-known religious journalist and publisher, Volodymyr Hromyk. A total of 64 people were injured, including 8 children; rescuers saved 12 people. Educational and medical institutions and many other buildings, including 7 architectural monuments, were damaged.
On September 5, mourning was declared in Lviv.
