UAOC Bishop’s Council speaks again about the Unified Local Church
On June 26, 2014 the Bishops’ Council of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church met in a session in Kyiv. The meeting was chaired by Primate of the UAOC Methodius (Kudriakov), Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine. The participants adopted a number of formal appeals to the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, clergymen and laymen of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church, and to the Primate of the UOC-MP.
The Council also decided to resume the Committee for the dialogue to prepare integration into a unified national church, and appointed a commission for publishing a desktop liturgical calendar and agreed to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the I3rd revival of the UAOC in Lviv.
The Primate of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church listened to the reports on the state of affairs from diocesan bishops and gave a number of instructions, Pomisa Tserkva website reports.
