UCCRO representatives meet with U.S. Chargé d'Affaires in Ukraine

The meeting participants highlighted the significance of interdenominational and interfaith cooperation, which the UCCRO actively promotes to safeguard religious freedom — a fundamental principle for building a modern, democratic Ukraine. They emphasized that the UCCRO's experiences and achievements are crucial to maintaining the stability and unity of Ukrainian society, particularly in light of ongoing Russian aggression.
The meeting with Ambassador Julie Davis included several notable attendees: Metropolitan Yevstratiy (Zoria), Deputy Head of the Synodal Department for External Church Relations of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine; Anatoliy Kozachok, Senior Bishop of the Ukrainian Christian Evangelical Church; Pastor Igor Bandura, Deputy Head of the All-Ukrainian Union of Evangelical Christians-Baptists; Ahmed Tamim, Supreme Mufti of Ukraine and Head of the Religious Administration of Muslims of Ukraine; Roman Kakaliuk, employee of the Department of External Relations of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church; Pastor Anatoliy Raichynets, Deputy General Secretary of the Ukrainian Bible Society; and Oleksandr Zayets, Chairman of the Board of the Institute for Religious Freedom. Representatives from the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine and various religious denominations also participated in the discussions.
