UGCC Looks For Its Faithful in Moldova
The Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church is looking for its faithful in Moldova and Prydnistrovia and is asking to spread information that there exists a Greek Catholic community and new ones are being registered. So reported the Information Department of UGCC.
The parish priest of the community of UGCC in Kyshyniv, Fr. Roman Popravka reported that in the soviet times, many Greek Catholics moved to Moldova to work there. According to the population census of 2002, there lived in Moldova over 950 families who considered themselves Greek Catholic. According to the priest, one simply needs to find them.
