Andrii Melnyk, Ukraine's Ambassador to the UN, participated in the International Conference of Chabad Emissaries (Kinus Hashluchim) in New York for the first time. This event is the largest annual gathering of the Chabad movement, and this year it brought together over 6,000 rabbis and emissaries from more than 100 countries.

This was reported by the Federation of Jewish Communities of Ukraine.

The ambassador's visit was at the invitation of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Ukraine (FJCU). The Ukrainian delegation was led by Rabbi Meir Stambler, the Chairman of the Council of Jewish Communities of Ukraine. Other members of the delegation included Rabbi Raphael Rutman, the FJCU Vice President; Rabbi Levi Engelsman, the Chairman of the FJCU Publishing Department; and Rabbi Moshe Moskvich, the Chief Rabbi of Kharkiv.

The highlight of the congress was a gala evening, which is a significant event that concludes the forum's multi-day program and brings together delegates and guests from around the world. During this evening, Andrii Melnyk received a newly published Torah in Ukrainian, an achievement resulting from a multi-year project undertaken by the FJCU.

The ambassador described this event as both important and symbolic, stating:

"It is a great honor for me to be here. I am impressed by the scope of the Lubavitch Rebbe's vision and how his ideas continue to inspire people worldwide. I am especially grateful to the emissaries who remain in Ukraine, support the people, and believe in our country. I am convinced that the publication of the Torah in Ukrainian is another step toward our future victory."
