Ukrainian Pastor Launches Missionary Trip to Kenya
The pastor of the Church of Good Changes from Mariupol, Director of the Republic Pilgrim Charitable Foundation, Hennadii Mokhnenko with a group of volunteers launched a missionary trip to Kenya, Africa on 16 January.
Representatives of Ukraine from Mariupol, Kyiv and Kharkiv and volunteers from Russia and USA participate in the missionary trip. So reported the press center of the Republic Pilgrim.
The minister used social networks and mass media to invite all interested persons who were prepared to visit children’s homes, prisons, slums and churches of Kenya at their own expense.
“With these trips, we can support the hands of the missionaries who fully dedicated themselves to the ministry in Africa,” noted Hennadii Mokhnenko.
This is the third trip to Kenya organized by the pastor from Mariupol. A year ago, the missionaries visited a few Christian asylums and provided substantial support to them: they bought beds, helped to repair classrooms, presented to the asylum several bicycles and a TV-set and DVD from the foundation.
The Ukrainian missionaries also visited Kenyan jails where children live together with their mothers. The team from Mariupol distributed gifts to the children most of whom never even saw toys. The missionaries also invested in the construction of 4 small houses for people living in the poorest regions of Kenya.
Let us remind the readers that missionaries from the Institute Heart of Help of Ternopil also conducted a mission among the poor population of Kenya dor a few years.
