In Peremyshl, Poland, Ukrainians gathered today for the 2nd Congress on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of Operation Vistula.
On April 27, before the opening ceremony of the Congress, two exhibitions will be held in the People’s Museum of the Peremyshl Land, reported the Information Department of the UGCC with reference to the Peremyshl-Warsaw Archeparchy of UGCC.
One of the exhibitions is organized by the Polish Institute of People’s Memory and is dedicated to the relations between Ukraine and Poland in 1939-1947. The other exhibition of publications "Lost Motherland" deals with the life of Ukrainians in border areas.
On the same day, in the local People’s Home, a project “Along Paths of Memory” will be presented. The project includes presentation of photos regarding the restoration of a cemetery in the village of Zhukiv and a multimedia presentation of photos of Yurii Havryliuk “Pearls of Native Lands.”
A night concert of church music will be held in the Greek Catholic Cathedral in Peremyshl.
