Metropolitan Melety of Chernivtsi and Bukovyna, UOC-Moscow Patriarchate, has complained to President of Ukraine about the officials of the local regional state administration. Metropolitan Melety of Chernivtsi and Bukovyna, UOC-Moscow Patriarchate, has complained to President of Ukraine about the officials of the local regional state administration. According to the Hierarch, they -- allegedly -- illegally transferred 11 communities from the UOC-MP to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.

The Metropolitan of the Moscow Patriarchate thus requests Zelensly to dismiss Deputy Chairman of Chernivtsi Regional State Administration M. V. Pavlyuk and cancel his orders on the transition of communities.

This is reported by the Information and Education Department of the UOC MP.

"Contrary to the current legislation, in violation of the Constitution of Ukraine and laws of Ukraine, Deputy Chairman of Chernivtsi Regional State Administration M. V. Pavlyuk have issued -- starting from May 29, 2019 -- illegal Decrees No. 312-R 354-R, and 438-R, 441-R, 452-R, 458-R, 463-P, 479-R, 483-R "On the registration of the charters of religious organizations of the UOC in new versions". Thus, flagrantly violating the current legislation, he transferred the religious communities of the UOC without their consent into the newly formed religious organization ֿOCU," goes the appeal.

In particular, these decrees concern 11 communities of the UOC-MP, which, according to the Chernivtsi diocese, "were forcibly, without their knowledge and consent, transferred to the OCU."
