UOC-MP priest who worked for Russia to be tried in the Kharkiv region

According to the investigation, the man shared geodata via Telegram. The Russians collected this information to shell the locations of the Ukrainian military.
The defendant was born in Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia region, worked as an IT specialist at the diocesan administration of the UOC-MP in Kharkiv, and as a rector of a local church.
The cleric is awaiting trial in custody. He faces five to eight years in prison.
Last year, a 50-year-old priest was tried in Kharkiv for sharing data on the movement of the Armed Forces and military equipment. According to the investigation, the rector of one of the churches of the Kharkiv diocese of the UOC-MP, who is a citizen of the Russian Federation, shared data on the movement and location of military equipment and the Defense Forces.
