According to the Information Center of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, this opinion was expressed byHead of the Department for social and humanitarian issues Archpriest Vladislav Dihanov, commenting on recent sociological data, according to which the volunteers were ranked first by the level of confidence among Ukrainians.

“In time of the crisis in the country and reorganization of state structures, when it was necessary to act quickly, and the necessary mechanisms were absent, volunteer forces have assumed greater responsibility and took numerous challenges Ukraine faced the last year,” Father Vladislav notes.

According to him, in many cases, soldiers, civilians, and IDPssooner received help from volunteers than from the state.

“Our church discovered a powerful social resource n volunteers. We were performing these activities before, but last year they expanded, intensified and strengthened. The Church realized how wide-scale its potential may be due to volunteering,” the priest emphasized.

According to the latest data of the “Democratic initiatives” fund, the three leaders of trust among Ukrainian citizens also include the Church and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
