USA greets Ukraine on creation of one Local Church

The embassy said they supported the ability of all Ukrainians to choose how to practice religion on their own.
“Congratulations to Ukraine on today's historic Council and the creation of an independent local Ukrainian Orthodox Church, we also sincerely congratulate Metropolitan Epfaniy on his appointment as head of the new church,” the statement reads.
