We will overcome everything, God and truth are with us, said Arseniy Yatsenuyk to young people in Zarvanytsya
On July 20, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yatsenyuk joined the All-Ukrainian Pilgrimage to Zarvanytsya in Ternopil. Along with tens of thousands of believers, he participated in the Liturgy of the Virgin Mary’s spiritual center of Zarvanytsya.
Upon completion of the Liturgy, at the invitation of the UGCC head Patriarch Sviatoslav, Arseny Yatsenyuk addressed the Ukrainians from all over the country and from abroad, who came to Zarvanytsia and noted that Ukraine is experiencing critical times: “It was the God’s will, and the history twist, again we have to fight for our freedom, for our independence, our families and European future of our country.”
“Our country has resisted the Bolsheviks, the Church has survived Soviets and I can assure you – we will survive and win. God is with us and so is the truth,” said the Prime Minister.
He said that he met with Pope Francis in Rome, when there was a ceremony of canonization of Pope John Paul II: “the Pope prays for Ukraine. The whole Christian world supports Ukraine, and in our unity, in our joint efforts and our faith we will gain the victory.”
Yatsenyuk said that during his stay in Slavyansk he talked to the locals, “I saw fear in their eyes, and then people also said: we are afraid of war. “John Paul II repeated the evangelical words: ‘do not be afraid’.We are not afraid, we are confident, we are sure, we believe and we will overcome.
