Yelensky briefs Keith Kellogg on current state of church-state relations in Ukraine
This was reported by the press service of the DESS.
During the discussion, participants addressed various issues related to the religious situation in Ukraine, Europe, and around the world. They examined the state of church-state relations in Ukraine and considered the contributions of churches and religious communities to the spiritual and humanitarian support of the population, as well as the strengthening of the country's defense capabilities. Special attention was given to the care for groups that have suffered the most due to the war.
The strengthening of ties between churches and religious organizations in Ukraine and evangelical and other religious communities in the United States was also discussed. Particular emphasis was placed on the persecution of believers in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, the destruction of religious buildings and places of worship, the killing of clergy, and the repression faced by Evangelical Protestants, Catholics, Jehovah's Witnesses, and Muslims.
The participants in the discussion emphasized the need for a global response against the axis of evil comprised of the most brutal persecutors of religious freedom, who seek to spread their repressive practices to all regions of the planet.
