Yulia Tymoshenko Awarded with Highest Award of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyivan Patriarchate

Patriarch Filaret of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyivan Patriarchate met with Yulia Tymoshenko on December 2. The head of the Kyivan Patriarchate greeted her for her birthday and wished good health and God's blessings in all her work, and awarded her the Order of St. Andrew of the second degree – the highest award of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyivan Patriarchate.

Patriarch Filaret of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyivan Patriarchate met with Yulia Tymoshenko on December 2. The head of the Kyivan Patriarchate greeted her for her birthday and wished good health and God's blessings in all her work, and awarded her the Order of St. Andrew of the second degree – the highest award of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyivan Patriarchate (UOC-KP).

"You chose to path to serve the Ukrainian people. This path is extremely difficult and thorny. For the power in this world, although surrounded by glory and might, is service to others. It is a sword given to protect the good and punish evil,” said the patriarch

As the press service of the UOC-KP reports, the patriarch gave Tymoshenko an icon of the Mother of God as a souvenir from their meeting.
