President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine is prepared for a ceasefire during the Easter holidays and is open to an energy truce.

This was reported by Ukrainska Pravda.

"We are ready for a ceasefire during the Easter holidays. In my view, decent people who respect life talk about a ceasefire and an end to the war for good, not just for a few days. But, of course, we are ready for any compromises, except for compromises regarding our dignity and sovereignty," said Volodymyr Zelensky.

He emphasized that Ukraine supports any ceasefire format and, in general, an end to the war, "but only if the state's dignity and independence are not compromised."

"We are ready to discuss any ceasefire... A complete ceasefire. A ceasefire regarding energy. A ceasefire regarding food security and energy — that is, both sea and air. A complete one, so that neither missiles nor drones fly. No strikes on infrastructure. We have proposed all of this. If the Russians are ready, we are ready too. Let them propose any timeframe — we are ready to resolve this issue," said the head of state.

When asked whether Russia might use the Easter truce to strengthen its positions, Zelensky expressed confidence that "in 2–3 days, they won't be able to strengthen anything."

"We remember what they promised to achieve in three days and how it ended," the president concluded, recalling the Russian propaganda message from February 2022 that the occupiers would be able to "take Kyiv in 3 days."
