Administrator of UOC-MP Comments on Dismissal of Archbishop Oleksandr
The Administrator of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP), Archbishop Mytrofan (Yurchuk) of Bila Tserkva and Bohuslav commented on the decision of the Synod to dismiss the right hand of Metropolitan Volodymyr, Archbishop Oleksandr (Drabynko) from his positions in the Church.
“In the recent time, the activity of Bishop Oleksandr was not always in line with the official position of our Church hierarchy,” stated the Administrator of UOC in an interview to 24tv.ua.
“After the Synods, he disagreed with some decision. And presented it as the official position of the Head of our Church,” he said.
According to Archbishop Mytrofan, they warned Archbishop Oleksandr, advised him to listen to the voice of the bishops but he did not change his behaviour.
Religious expert view the dismissal of the right hand of Metropolitan Volodymyr from the position of authority as the dismissal of the Primate himself from the position of authority.
