The Pechersky District Court of Kyiv, during the preparatory court session in the case of Metropolitan Pavlo of the UOC-MP, extended the term of duties for 60 days.

This was reported by the press secretary of the Kyiv region prosecutor's office, Olena Kovalova, Ukrinform reports.

Specifically, he is obliged not to leave his place of residence without the court's permission, appear upon court summons, avoid communication with the victims and witnesses, and wear an electronic monitoring device," she said.

At the same time, the lawyer of the former rector of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, Andriy Domansky, reminded that his client is subject to a precautionary measure in the form of bail in the amount of 33 million hryvnias.

"Today, the motion to extend the duties imposed during the imposition of the precautionary measure in the form of bail was considered," he noted.

It should be added that the Security Service of Ukraine has accused the former abbot of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra of justifying and denying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine (Article 161 of the Criminal Code) as well as violating the equality of citizens based on their racial, national, and regional affiliation (Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

On April 1, the Shevchenkivsky District Court of Kyiv imposed a precautionary measure of round-the-clock house arrest on Metropolitan Pavlo. In May, the house arrest was extended for another 30 days.

On July 14, the court imposed a precautionary measure of detention with the possibility of posting bail in the amount of over 33 million hryvnias on Metropolitan Pavlo.

In October, the SBU announced the completion and transfer to the Pechersk District Court of the indictment against the former abbot of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, Pavlo.
