According to the Council of Muslims of Uzbekistan, members of some "terrorist organizations" tried to recruit believers to participate in the conflict in Ukraine on the basis of "jihad" or holy war.

Imam Muhammad, one of the scholars, wrote in his book Al-Siyarul Kabir: "Muslims are not allowed to unite with non-believers and fight against another community of non-believers. Participation in such actions is recognized as a sin."

It is noted that the statement of the highest religious body of Uzbekistan was made after Russia offered accelerated citizenship to foreigners when enlisting in the army.

In general, Russia uses all the mechanisms to drag people to the war in Ukraine. Now there is a so-called partial mobilization, in which the enemy must recruit at least 300 thousand soldiers.
