II World Congress of Evangelical Christians held in Lviv
On October 6-9, 2016 in Lviv, the "Golgotha" Church (str. Skrypnyk, 2a) hosted the Second World Congress of Evangelical Christians.
About 2 thousand delegates from different continents are set to attend the Congress. Among them are leaders of the Pentecostal churches in the former Soviet Union, clergy from Poland, Germany, USA, Canada, Latin America and other countries.
“We plan to discuss how the Pentecost meets the challenges of the modern world, and give way to a younger generation of ministers in Pentecostal churches,” said the president of the International Assembly of Christians of Evangelical Faith Bishop Marek Kaminski from Poland.
“Today the aggressive secularization of society (introduction of secular values), promotion of atheism continue, many countries are experiencing spiritual decline. Therefore, the Church must not give up itsr positions and continue having a positive impact on society. The only effective tool for this in all ages after the coming of Christ was preaching the Gospel. The believer should be immersed in the Word of God and allocate time to prayer. Because today the Church must maintain its role as a salt, as the pillar and the establishment of God's truth on earth,” Senior Bishop of the Church of Evangelical Christians of Ukraine Mikhail Panochko comments on the main theme of the congress.
The first Pentecostal International Congress was held on October 2013.
