In the Pochayiv Lavra, the UOC-MP believers say that Putin is their ruler and "God is bombing Ukraine"
According to them, it is "not Russians but God" who launches missiles at Ukraine. They attributed this "divine wrath" to "lawlessness and disobedience to authority," as well as to the Revolution of Dignity.
These representatives of the Pochayiv Lavra shared their opinions with the Hromadske journalist.
When asked by the journalist how they feel about Putin, their response was the following:
"He is our ruler, of course. The Holiest Patriarch and Putin, and in Kyivan Rus - Zelenkovsky (presumably referring to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky - ed.). And Archangel Michael said: submit to authority. If they do not submit to authority... There was Yanukovych, but they said, "We do not want him," and even small children went to the Maidan... I do not even want to discuss it. Being a child, you are opposing the authorities," the UOC MP believers exclaimed.
According to the parishioners of the Pochayiv Lavra, it is God who launches missiles at Ukraine.
“It’s God who launches missiles (ed.) Do you know what kind of arrows he can send to punish lawlessness? Angels can send arrows that could bring down the entire world. For lawlessness, for disobedience, for disobedience to authority. Everyone does what they want. The little ones protest against Yanukovych," said one of the women.
The other added that it is God who has authorized Putin to attack Ukraine: "God gave Putin the right. The authority is given by God, as Archangel Michael said," she concluded.
