Lubinets to appeal to UN and Red Cross over shooting of Ukrainians during Easter truce
He announced this on Telegram, as reported by Ukrinform.
"This is a blatant and cynical violation of international humanitarian law, particularly the Geneva Conventions. I am immediately sending letters to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the United Nations regarding these crimes. The world must be aware that Russia is systematically disregarding every rule of war and has adopted terror as its tactic,” Lubinets stated.
He explained that, according to information from open sources, Russian forces launched an assault on Ukrainian positions, resulting in four of our soldiers being taken prisoner. However, instead of adhering to international humanitarian law, the occupiers shot the unarmed Ukrainians on the spot.
Additionally, last night, Russian forces killed a Ukrainian evacuation group near Huliaipilske in the Zaporizhzhia region.
So much for the “ceasefire.”
