The Secretary of the head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate, Bishop Oleksandr of Pereiaslav-Khmelnytskyi and Vyshnevsk, commented on the condition of the primate. He said that the hierarch is still in intensive care.

“His breathing is partially assisted by a ventilator. He is gradually improving. The doctors give promising forecasts. The condition is difficult and no one conceals this. Let us trust that all the believers, regardless of their denomination, unite today in prayer. And the prayers will help Blessed Metropolitan Volodymyr to come back to his work.”

Today, on the primate’s 65th birthday, a liturgy was celebrated in his ward by Bishop Oleksandr. The head of the church received communion during the service.

After a liturgy in the Kyiv Cave Monastery, bishops of the UOC-MP visited Metropolitan Volodymyr in the hospital. So reported Orthodoxy in Ukraine.
