OCU Primate's name proclaimed in Diptych during Liturgy in Bucharest
This was reported by Ukraina Pravoslavna (Orthodox Ukraine).
The significant moment of the service was broadcast by the Trinitas TV channel of the Romanian Patriarchate. The liturgy, which was concelebrated by hierarchs from both the Ecumenical and Romanian Patriarchates, took place outdoors in the courtyard of the Romanian Patriarchate, adjacent to the old cathedral. Many faithful attended the service on the day dedicated to St. Demetrius the New, the patron saint of Bucharest.
During the Liturgy, Archbishop George of Cyprus mentioned the name of the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU). Additionally, the name of Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine was included during the concelebration with the Ecumenical Patriarch and the new Archbishop of Albania, John, on All Saints' Sunday. These commemorations represent a positive step towards the full establishment of relations between the autocephalous Churches and the OCU.
