On December 16, Patriarch Kirill (Gundyaev) of Moscow and Metropolitan Kirill (Pokrovsky), head of the Russian Orthodox Church's Synodal Department for Interaction with the Armed Forces and Law Enforcement, took part in an expanded meeting of the Defense Ministry board.
This was reported by the Telegram channel Christians Against War.
Vladimir Putin and the head of the military department, Andrey Belousov, spoke at the meeting.
As stated, the Russian army aims to take control of the entire territory of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions of Ukraine by 2025.
