Political expert: Putin realizes that conflict between Russians and Muslims is inevitable

There is a strong anti-Islamic campaign running in Russia, a mighty powerful one. The whole machine is involved, starting with the state media, parliamentarians and the Investigative Committee and ending with the revival of the practices of the Black Hundreds. The flywheel of Islamophobia cultivation has sped up. The only exception is the Kadyrovites, but that's another story.
Political scientist Mykhailo Basarab wrote about this on Facebook.
“Although Putin has a very peculiar perception of reality, I doubt he can seriously believe he will be able to oust Islam from the territory of the Russian Federation. Putin and his henchmen realize that a large-scale internal conflict between conventional Russians and Muslims in the southern regions of the Russian Federation is inevitable. By that time, the conventional Russians will have to become united in the fight against the most rebellious indigenous peoples, who mostly practice Islam,” said political scientist Mykhailo Basarab.
