Pope plans to come to Ukraine next year

Pope Francis might visit Ukraine next year. This was stated in an interview by Archbishop Mieczyslaw Mokrzycki, Metropolitan of the Diocese of Lviv of the RCC.

He told the Polish news agency about the state and plans of the Church in Ukraine, calling this condition the "Spring".

The conversation focused on the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the restoration of the structures of the RCC in Ukraine, which was initiated by St. John Paul II, on the life of the Church in the context of the pandemic, the development of parishes and charitable entities.

When asked about the possibility of Pope Francis' visit to Ukraine, Archbishop Mieczyslaw said: "I have learned that the Holy Father is planning such a visit next year."
